about

This song was originally written as a song of help for people with questions about life, specifically about why things often seem to turn out badly, or why bad things happen, or why we often, apparently, don't seem to get any answers to many of our toughest questions.

Its chorus climaxes with the words from Micah 6:8, and is presented in such a way to say: "No matter what, let us do the best we can with what we have".

Yet, this actual recording was done two days after the funeral of my father, Dr. Monty Eloff. He passed away on 7 August, 2015. The funeral took place on 13 August, and this song was recorded the Saturday evening thereafter. I specifically recorded it at that time, as a dedication to my dad. I also sung this song as a dedication to him at the funeral, which was obviously a very emotional moment for myself and all attending.

You see, if ever there was a man who walked the "straight and narrow", then it was my dad. If ever there was a person who LIVED Micah 6:8, then it was my dad. He was absolutely rock-solid in his convictions, his faith, and in the daily living thereof.

For this reason I also dedicate this song to him, in remembrance of his life, and the immense impact he had on the lives of thousands upon thousands during his ministry.

lyrics

So many questions I can't answer
So many puzzles I can't solve
Sometimes I just don't know what's true anymore
But these three things I say to you

Live justly, love mercy
And walk humbly before your God
Live justly, love mercy
And walk humbly before your God

I've been told there is a reason
I have heard there is a rhyme
For everything a perfect season
But always these three things remain
