This is the second track in the recording of the "unplugged" feel, or "live" feel album that I am presently recording. As mentioned for the other tracks also: these are as unprocessed and as unedited as they come! It's the closest you would get to hearing me live, without being at my show :-) I do obviously apply mastering compression and limiting, as, without this, any track would be very soft and flat.
This album is born from the knowledge that many listeners always comment on, and compliment/appreciate my live playing. This is the one form of performance that receives the most response. For this reason, I decided to record an album that is exactly that: me playing live.
I do not edit and process these songs heavily. I prepare myself, and then finally sit down at the piano, and play the song. If I mess up, I don't "fix"...I go again, from the top, exactly as before :-) Many of the songs were one-takes, the first one took three repeated takes. The last one being correct.
I do edit out small, accidental notes, as, sometimes I may touch a stray note during a very excited, or very intimate part of the song. But, in such cases it is three or five notes in an entire song. Also, many times this will not even be something generally audible, most folks would never hear it...it's just that I KNOW! And don't want it there :-D
